Liquid crystal display is an organic compound which is liquid under normal condition, but its molecular arrangement is very regular as solid crystal, so it is called liquid crystal.
A liquid crystal display, a flat, ultra-thin display device, consisting of a certain amount of color or black and white pixels, placed in front of a light source or a reflector. Liquid crystal displays are very low power and are therefore favored by engineers and are suitable for electronic devices using batteries. Its main principle is to use the current to stimulate the liquid crystal molecules to produce points, lines and surfaces to form a picture with the back lamp tube. The special nature is that if an electric field is applied to the liquid crystal, will change its molecular arrangement, then if it is combined with a polarizing plate, it has the function of preventing light (in an electric field is applied, the light can pass through), if coupled with the color filter, changing the crystal size can change the number of voltage. A certain amount of light color, can image that its transmittance change can change the voltage at both ends of the liquid crystal (but in reality, this must be polarizing plate with).
