PMOLED Display

PMOLED is an organic light emitting diode. PMOLED displays use a simple control scheme where you can control each row (or rows) in the display in sequence (one at a time). PMOLED electronics do not contain storage capacitors, so the pixels in each row are actually off most of the time. To compensate for this more voltage, they need to be made brighter.

PMOLED displays are also limited in resolution and size (the more wiring you have, the more voltage you have to use). PMOLED displays are usually small, typically up to 3 inches, and are used to display character data or small icons. They are used in wearables, small devices and sub-displays.
